These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made with Triple 8 Triple 7. By making a booking, using our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Triple 8 Triple 7 is a small local taxi booking business. We take bookings in good faith and make reasonable efforts to arrange transport for customers.
Journeys may be carried out by independent drivers, self-employed drivers, licensed taxi drivers, hackney carriage drivers, private hire operators, or partner companies. Drivers are independent contractors and are not necessarily employees of Triple 8 Triple 7.
Where permitted by law, bookings may be transferred, subcontracted or passed to another licensed operator, driver or hackney carriage. Triple 8 Triple 7 is not the operator of every vehicle used to fulfil a booking.
We accept bookings by telephone, text, website form and other agreed methods. A booking is accepted in good faith, but mistakes, communication issues, driver availability issues or technical problems may occasionally occur.
If a driver does not arrive, we apologise for the inconvenience, but we are not liable for any loss, expense, missed connection, missed appointment or other consequence arising from the non-arrival.
We always try to arrive on time, but we cannot guarantee arrival times or journey times. Customers should allow suitable extra time for flights, trains, hospital appointments, work, events and other time-sensitive journeys.
Delays may be caused by traffic, weather, roadworks, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, driver availability, public events, customer delays, third-party operators or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If we need to cancel a booking for any reason, we will try to inform you as soon as reasonably possible.
All fares are charged at the metered rate unless a specific fixed price has been expressly agreed with you before the journey.
Prices, journey calculator results and website fare information are provided in good faith. They are quotations or estimates for guidance only unless expressly confirmed as a fixed-price agreement. Errors in website calculations or published information are not enforceable as a contract.
Prices may change without prior notice. Unsociable hours charges, booking fees, extra passenger charges, luggage charges, pet charges and other permitted charges may apply.
Mileage rates, metered fares and authorised extras are set by the relevant licensing authority for the vehicle concerned. Vehicles are calibrated under the rules of the council or licensing authority with which the vehicle is registered.
For Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council taxi fare information, please see: BCP Council taxi fares.
Vehicles licensed by other councils may be subject to different fare tables, charges and rules.
Parking, ferry charges, toll charges, airport charges and similar third-party charges are payable in addition to the taxi fare unless otherwise agreed.
If a toll, ferry or similar charge is needed for the driver to return, the customer may be required to pay the charge in both directions. For example, journeys involving the Sandbanks Ferry to or from Swanage, Studland or nearby areas may require payment of the ferry cost for the outward and return crossing in addition to the taxi fare.
A soiling or cleaning charge is payable if a vehicle is soiled in any way. The charge will be the amount set or permitted by BCP Council or the relevant licensing authority for the vehicle concerned, or the reasonable cleaning cost incurred where applicable.
Passengers are responsible for damage caused by them or by anyone travelling with them.
If a vehicle breaks down, is involved in an accident or cannot complete the journey, we will try to assist with onward travel where reasonably possible. However, we are not responsible for providing replacement transport or for paying for alternative transport.
We are not responsible for third-party charges where onward travel costs more than the amount charged by us.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to the above, our total liability for any booking is limited to the maximum amount paid to us for the taxi fare for that booking.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential or financial losses, including missed flights, missed trains, missed appointments, loss of earnings, business losses, hotel costs, alternative transport costs or other third-party charges, even where a delay or problem is caused by us, a driver, a contractor or a partner company.
Passengers must behave safely, lawfully and respectfully. Drivers may refuse or stop a journey where a passenger is abusive, threatening, intoxicated, unsafe, likely to soil or damage the vehicle, or otherwise behaving unreasonably.
We will make reasonable efforts to help customers recover lost property, but passengers are responsible for their own belongings. We are not liable for items left in vehicles.
Any opinions, comments or views expressed by individual drivers are their own and do not represent the views of Triple 8 Triple 7. We apologise for any offence caused by an individual driver's comments or opinions.
Please report any concerns through the contact form or by email so that we can investigate internally.
If you have a complaint, please contact us using the website contact form or email complaints@888777.co.uk. We will review complaints in good faith and respond where appropriate.
Other terms, conditions, rules or charges may apply depending on the booking, vehicle, operator, licensing authority, payment provider or specific agreement made with you.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
